Description: On sunday, march 6, 2016, the neighbor living at 828 east 63rd st., tacoma, wa, 98404, illegally attached a structure to my fence near the back alley (i live at 822, as i noted in the service address). he had a door hung on it from 2 sections of 2x4 screwed onto 1 of my fence slats and another long 2x4 screwed along the entire length of that fence segment with chicken wire attached. he did not bother to strengthen my slats with a screw each on top and bottom, or ask my permission for this improvement. not only does it look clandestine, but it further prevents me from repairing this section of fence, as i previously could have (it needs screws, being at present only stapled, and i want to raise it a few inches off the ground to stop the water damage). there is another much more serious issue that i had kept quiet about until this violation of my property rights -- there are 2 large redwoods growing on the border of our properties, that have been on about 20 feet of my fence, out of the ground on one side and about 2 feet into my property line, detaching the horizontal 2x4's from my fence post (which is horribly shifted as well). the result is that the fence is bent 2 feet into my property and is badly damaged. i need to know whether the owner at 828 has in fact paid half the value of my fence (he will have to produce documentation to that effect to prove it), allowing him the improvement i first mentioned. then i wish to know what he intends to do about the damage his trees have done to my fence (by the way, there is a slat missing near the front which he removed to grant one of his cats access to my yard and which piece he never returned to me). i also need to know how the fence slats are going to be screwed in along the entire length of the fence. if a code compliance inspector is going to inspect my fence, please let him present himself in the alley at my back gate and knock or let me know via email when he would like to make this inspection.
