On March 28, 2015, Alvin Police investigated a robbery that occurred in the 200 block of S Eighth St in Alvin. The suspect had run on foot prior to Officers arrival but was identified by the victim. A warrant was subsequently requested for the arrest of the suspect.

"On Sunday, December 15th, 2013 at approximately 2:53 A.M. Officer located a male subject at the corner of W Sealy St and S Eighth St. Upon running the male subject, it was found that he had outstanding warrants through the Alvin Police Department. After confirmation, Officer attempted to take the male subject into custody, at which point, the male subject began to evade Officer on foot traveling northbound on Eighth St. After a brief foot chase, Officer was able to take the subject to the ground. Once on the ground, male subject began to resist the Officer. During the struggle, Officer Tazed the male subject in the lower back with an X26 Taser, gaining compliance from the male subject. After taking the subject into custody, it was found that the male subject had given the Officer a false name and had an outstanding warrant through the Brazoria County Sheriff`s Department. Male subject was later booked in at the Alvin Police Department Jail on the following charges:- Evading Arrest/"
