Description: This work activity authorizes labor and material to place fiber and copper cables along placida road from the placida remote to the boca grande causeway in charlotte county due to road and drainage improvements. the fiber cable will be placed from the remote to the causeway. the copper cable will be placed from the remote to the 11509 xbox at placida harbour. all cables are in the port charlotte exchange.all cables placed on this job are to be placed via directional-bore. all conduits placed shall be connected together, or at the six proposed cdr vaults. the minimum depth for conduit/cable on this job is 60 (5). at points where conduit crosses placida rd, and boca grande cswy, the minimum depth is 96 (8 feet)the proposed cdr vaults shall measure 36 x 60 x 48, and shall be placed level with existing grades. this work activity will place approximately 9300 feet of 96 fiber from manhole 7, ipid #1437, to hand-hole #75397 at gasparilla rd, and boca grande causeway intersection. approximately 500 feet of 144 fiber will be placed from the placida remote to manhole 7. this work activity will also place approximately 4900 feet of 300-24 copper cable from manhole 7 to the 15509 xbox, ipid #114569. the proposed copper cable will be placed along with the proposed 96 fiber inside a 4 conduit, placed via directional bore.a new cross box will be placed close to the existing 15509 box. the location for the pad will be staked prior to construction starting. the cross connect and the template for the pad will be ordered by century-link. the xbox pad is to be poured concrete. from the point where the copper cable will cross placida rd, the 96 fiber continues to towards boca grande cswy in a dir-bored 2 conduit. 60 fiber loops are to be placed in cdr vaults where fiber is shown to be cut. 120 loops at all other cdr vaults. a minimum of 7 shall be left on the end of copper cables in cdr vaults for splicing. century-link splicers will instruct where to run copper and fiber cables in the placida remote, and in the man-hole.the running-line will be staked prior to start of construction. no deviations from this running line are permitted. all bores are to be a minimum of 60, or three feet under any existing utility. if it is necessary to bore under an existing fpl pole, the minimum depth will be 12. a charlotte county road and bridge permit is required for this job.
