On Saturday, March 28, 2015 at approximately 9:52 PM, an Officer Juarez with the Alvin Pd was at the intersection of W South St. and Callaway Dr. when he heard and observed a white pickup truck accelerate to a speed beyond the posted speed limit north on Callaway Dr. The Officer caught up with the suspect vehicle in the 2700 block of Queens View and conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop the suspect was identified as Joshua Schmitz age 28. Schmitz was ultimately taken into custody for Driving While license Invalid M/B. A report was completed documenting the incident
