Description: 30 april 10 - homeowner had placed a plastic tarp on her roof as a temporary repair. sent the homeowenr, ms. cynthia kusicko, a letter requesting information about the status of her roof repair and informing her the tarp should be considered a temporary, not permanent repair. 7 may 10 - ms. kusicko left a voice mail message about the letter i sent. she received the letter and will get the roof repaired. 14 jun 10 - ms. kusicko phoned to update me on the situation with her roof. she is very short of money and can not afford to make permanent repairs at this time. she is looking for temporary work to raise the money. she does not have an estimate for cost yet. 30 jun 10 - ms. kusicko left a voice mail message saying he brother is sick with cancer again and she has to go to florida to attend to him. she had hoped to get her roof repaired in the next couple of weeks, but is unsure now because of the expense and time of taking care of her brother. 18 aug 10 - sent ms. kusicko a second letter acknowledging her phone message of 30 may 10. because i had not heard from her since that time i wanted to follow up on the status of repairs. i also informed her that another berkshire manor nighbor indicated there may be help in getting the roof repaired and requested she contact me. 18 aug 10 - receive a letter from ms. kusicko outlining her personal situation and hardship. 29 mar 11 - sent ms. kusicko a third letter requesting information about when she would be able to make the repairs to her roof and remove the tarp. 15 may 11 - ms. kusicko left phone message saying she was still in florida with her sick brother, that she was overwhelmed taking care of him and would try to get to the house repaired eventually. 27 sep 11 - observed that the tarp covering ms. kusicko's roof had come detached from the house and was no longer an effective barrier to rain entering the dwelling. i sent a fourth letter to ms. kusicko stating she should arrange to have the roof repaired as soon as possible and aske her to contact me. 25 oct 11 - issued a notice of violation. 26 oct 11 - ms. kusicko left a phone message at 10:22 pm 25 october, saying she hoped to have some plan for the roof by the end of the week (10/27/11). she said she would call and speak to me. she did not leave a contact number where i could reach her. 11 nov 11 -ms. kusicko left a phone message at 1:53 pm 11 november saying she had signed a contract with dr. roof to repair the roof on her home. she indicated work should begin within 2 weeks. dec 12 - roof has been repaired
