Description: Sr32115 10/20/2015 9:24 amthis residence on lindelaan lane has bamboo growing in the easement which interferes with the power lines. the result is frequent, unnecessary power outages lasting up to 12 hours in many cases. teco tree trimming does nothing to stop the problem as this bamboo grows at a rapid rate and gets tangled in the power lines which is dangerous. neighbors have complained for years with no resolution other than trimming when the power goes out. this neighborhood requests that the bamboo be removed permanently. please contact me for further details as i am speaking on behalf of many homeowners who will no longer tolerate this nuisance.first name nancylast name anellophone number 813-317-0202mobile number --email address [email protected]

Description: The following is the information a citizen submitted using the online form on the hillsborough county code enforcement complaint form. description of complaint = the residents of this home have bamboo planted on their property directly beneath power lines. the bamboo grows rapidly and interferes with the power lines causing power outages only to the residents on the east side of hampton place odd numbered homes, and to some homes on lindelaan drive. residences on the even side of hampton place do not have this problem because the power lines are clear. the bamboo is a menace to the supply of power to these few homes. teco is aware of the problem and has made numerous calls to the site to repair the lines and to try to cut the bamboo, but they said they do not have the authority to do more. the bamboo caused a major problem for hampton place residents on 10/8/11 when the power went out at 1pm and was not restored until 10pm. neighbors across the street did not lose power so it was not a widespread problem. the bamboo caused the power outage and this is corroborated by teco. this is an ongoing problem. the owners are inaccessible to talk to about the problem. we would appreciate code enforcement taking a look at the bamboo as it is a hazard. you may view the bamboo from hampton place, homes 10017 and 10011 at the end of the street. thank you for your attention. street number = 10000 street name = lindelaan drive apt./lot number = zip code = 33618 nearest major intersection = lake carroll way and orange grove drive what road does the location run off of? = orange grove drive name of subdivision, apartment complex, or mobile home park = carrollwood owner name (if known) = not known, although large security gate has the letter w on it. address (if known) = , apt. or lot number = complainant name = nancy anello phone = 813-935-2705 email me a confirmation copy of this complaint = yes submitter's email address = [email protected]
