Description: Customer had main line blockage. raw sewage was backing up into basement. customer was not able to use plumbing and was living in hotel. technician cable main and was not able to clear blockage. video inspection did not reveal anything. tech located outside cleanout and found root intrusions in cleanout. tech put camera in cleanout and found more roots and dirt. tech contact beauro of sanitation to come and clean county side. csr refused to dispatch a crew to clear county blockage. home owner also attempted to arrange for county cleaning and csr refused to dispatch a crew. customer called council representative to get some relief. mike porter agreed to supervise lateral repair at cleanout since i was not able to obtain a permit or inspection during the furlough period. pictures were taken of the sewer repair. note: we removed 100' of 3/4 drain cable from sewer and removed section of pipe full of roots. connections were made with 4" cast iron coupling at house side and 4x6 doughnut and fernco coupling at county connection.
